Daily Muhasabah frames a personal routine as a calm app experience: record worship, note charity, write a short journal, and return to progress without making the habit feel heavy. The core flow keeps the daily action quick while still giving users meaningful review through history and statistics.
The Challenge
A spiritual tracking app has to balance privacy, consistency, and low-friction recording. Users may want to start as a guest, keep data available before signing in, continue with an email or Google account, and still feel that the app is simple enough to use every day. The challenge was integrating auth, local records, reminders, localization, app lock, and release requirements without making the reflection flow feel technical.
Approach
I implemented the product in Flutter with feature-focused screens, Provider and Cubit state flows, local persistence for daily records, and Firebase services for authentication, Firestore sync readiness, Crashlytics, and App Check. The recording surfaces were separated into worship, charity, and journal flows, while history and statistics became the review layer that helps users understand their consistency over time.
The Impact
- Implemented email, Google, and anonymous authentication with account-aware UI states, allowing users to start as guests and continue with a saved profile when they are ready.
- Built daily scoring around required prayers, congregation, mosque attendance, and charity so progress could be summarized across home, history, and statistics.
- Designed a local-first record flow with Firestore sync readiness, keeping worship, charity, and journal input available before the cloud handoff.
- Prepared release-facing quality layers: notification scheduling, app lock, Crashlytics, App Check, privacy policy, signing, and exportable PDF reports.
